The Central Okanagan Family Hub/Province of BC’s Early Year's Centre, is a one-stop shop for supports and services for families. It is a welcoming second home for families to connect with each other and to community supports.

It is through a team effort of community partners and parents working together to create a positive impact through the sharing of time, money, expertise, staff, volunteers, and space.

Who are these services for?

Any parents or caregivers in The Central Okanagan, or those who are moving to the Central Okanagan.

When can we access services?

Drop–in
Monday: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Service Delivery Components

Community Resources

The Hub Facilitator is the face of the Central Okanagan Family Hub. This person is the initial contact with families and has the key role in building meaningful and trusting relationships with families and acts in a triage role in accessing the necessary community resources.

Parent Learning Place

The Central Okanagan Family Hub provides space to community agencies and local parent support groups to build competencies, understanding, and skills in the many roles of parenthood. Any session or program facilitated out of the Parent Learning Place are to be free for participants.

Integrated Health Solutions Team

Placing the child in the centre, the goal of the team is to work alongside parents to provide a wraparound service to provide basic need resources and to expedite and refine the referral process to health professionals in a timely and effective manner.

Community Development

The Community Engagement Facilitator will maintain and build on community partnerships for the benefit of families served, and builds existing and initiates new partnership arrangements that serve the interests of the community.
